Woke up this morning with my phone wanting to reboot for a software update, after 10 or so minutes it did and now I'm on one Ui 8 and its a mess, my phone constantly reboots, it constantly locks up and is full of errors, I never had a single issue with this phone until this stupid update that was forced, so what are my options to fix this? I have done the following:
1.) Cleared partition cache.
2.) Cleared one UI cache.
3.) Uninstalled several apps, updated the rest.
4.) Eventually gave up and did a factory default.
The issues are still here even after the factory reset and I'm now paying for a phone I can't even use when prior to this stupid One UI 8 everything was fine not a single problem so I can say 100% that is what broke it and I am not happy one bit about this at all so how can I get this working correctly again as like I said, not a single problem until it updated.
When you did the factory reset did you allow ANY backed up "stuff" return onto the new build? If the answer is yes then that is your problem. Although Android has improved considerably in the area I still recommend a CLEAN install in order to eliminate most bugs and issues. Yes, yes it takes longer to reinstall and configure all the apps and other personalized settings but this will more than likely fix your issues. YMMV
I think it's more of an issue where they need to know what the bugs are. They won't have fixes until a patch update, but I'm pretty sure there's a team that goes through these forums to gather this info? Not sure, wouldn't mind confirmation on that lol
