Did that and it didn't change battery issues. Crazy how right after the last update it destroyed the battery use. . But previous updates didn't. Now we're in chat forums at 3am like totally organically helping out eachother while corporate is dead silent

My comments being deleted.
Feel free to watch this blow up on social media
All this Gaslighting by the bots is frustrating as heck.
The phone performance was one way before the update AND NOW IT'S ANOTHER!!!!
ERGO THE UPDATE AND ONLY THE UPDATE IS TO BLAME. you're apps didn't change, your usage didn't change. They either did this for some reason they won't disclose (like battery fires over heating) or the simply have no clue and are simply hoping to wish it away and make us all nuts putting apps to sleep. 18 year Samsung user and this is the most divisive reaction to a company created issue I've ever seen.

When you hijack other people's posts and make it all about you, people - yes ordinary users - will get on your case, because it's just rude.  You want to bellyache about something, create your own post.  Better yet, put in a feedback report so maybe, just maybe you have a chance of getting your issue addressed.  You keep posting for Samsung to fix it, but I guarantee you if you put in an error report, they will tell you the exact same thing that everyone else is telling you.  And then you will call the development team bots and company shills.

You are in control of what appears in the information field on the lock screen.  Put the lock screen in edit mode by long pressing on any blank spot on it. At the bottom of the screen, in the area where you now see your email address, is a rectangle where you can put whatever contact information (or any other message), in case your phone is found. Tap that area and enter the information you want, or simply delete what is already there and leave it blank.  Tap "done" at the top to save your changes.

I am having this same issue. Reset to factory reset yesterday and it hasn't changed. It charges it extremely fast and drains even faster. I ran through all the trouble shooting methods and nothing works. I turned off fast charge and it is still draining really fast. The last two updates messed with my battery charge. I updated hoping the OS 8 update would fix what the previous on broke but it got even worse. What to do when you've done all the troubleshooting and nothing has fixed the problem?

It takes about two weeks after a major update for the phone to finish setting up and relearning your battery usage patterns.  Every time you factory reset the phone, you start the clock over on the battery learning.  Just leave it be, use your phone normally, charge it when it goes low, and let the battery learn.

Check your battery usage statistics to see if there is unusual battery activity from apps.  If everything seems within reason, just let it be.  If things don't normalize  in two weeks, come back and let us know; we'll try to troubleshoot.  Also, you have an S23.  I know it's not ancient, but it is older, has been in use for a while and your battery may not be able to handle the load of new features.  Time will tell.
