Galaxy S23For about a month now when I make a call and get a busy signal I no longer have the button to hang up and redial. Not sure where the end call button went. It's there when a call connects but not if busy. I have to let phone disconnect itself before I can redial, anyone else have this issue and if so how did you fix it?

Galaxy S23If you are experiencing issues with the hang-up button disappearing on your phone, particularly when encountering busy signals, here's what might be happening and some steps you can take:
Possible causes:
Software glitches or bugs: The phone app or operating system might be experiencing a temporary glitch that causes the call interface elements, including the hang-up button, to become unresponsive or disappear.
Third-party app interference: Certain third-party applications, especially those with phone permissions, could potentially interfere with the normal functioning of the phone app.
Issues with SIM card or network registration: Problems with the SIM card or its registration with your service provider can sometimes lead to calling issues, although this is less likely to directly cause the hang-up button to disappear.
Accessibility settings: Some accessibility features, like the "Press Side key to end calls" option, could potentially be enabled and affect how calls are ended.
Android Auto or other integrations: If you're using Android Auto or another integrated system for calls, there might be compatibility issues that lead to problems with the call controls.
Troubleshooting steps:
Restart your phone: A simple restart can often resolve temporary software glitches that might be affecting the phone app.
Check for software updates: Ensure your phone's operating system and the phone app are up-to-date. Software updates often include bug fixes and improvements that can resolve issues like this.
Clear the phone app's cache and storage: This can help to remove any corrupted data that might be causing the problem.
Check Accessibility settings: Make sure that the "Press Side key to end calls" or a similar setting is not enabled in your phone's accessibility settings.
Try safe mode: Booting your phone into safe mode can help you determine if a third-party app is causing the problem. If the hang-up button works in safe mode, you can then try uninstalling recently installed apps to identify the culprit.
Reset network settings: This will reset your phone's network configurations to their default settings and might resolve any network-related issues affecting calls.
Consider a factory reset: If the problem persists despite trying the above steps, a factory reset might be necessary. Be sure to back up your data first as this will erase all data on your phone.
Contact your carrier or manufacturer: If none of the above solutions work, you might need to contact your phone carrier or the device manufacturer for further assistance. They can provide more specific troubleshooting steps or diagnose potential hardware issues.
Note: If you encounter a situation where the hang-up button is unavailable, you might be able to end the call by pressing the power button if you have enabled the "Power button ends call" feature in your accessibility settings.

Galaxy S23Here's a more detailed breakdown of potential solutions:
1. Restart your phone: A simple restart can resolve many temporary glitches.
2. Check Accessibility settings:
Go to Settings > Accessibility > Interaction and dexterity.
Look for an option like "Press Side key to end calls" or "End calls by power key".
If enabled, try disabling it to see if the button reappears.
3. Review app permissions:
Go to Settings > Apps > 3 dots (upper right) > Permission manager > Phone.
Revoke phone permission from all apps and then re-grant permission as needed.
This can help identify if a specific app is interfering with the call interface.

Galaxy S23Bluetooth interference: If you're using Bluetooth headphones, try ending the call through them.
Android Auto: In some cases, Android Auto can interfere with the call UI.
Do Not Disturb/Airplane mode: Ensure these are not enabled, as they can prevent calls from displaying correctly.
Area with poor network coverage: Low network signal can also cause issues with call interfaces.
Power button end call: If enabled, the power button might be ending calls instead of swiping on the screen.
