Smart view pop over control disappeared after update

I have a Samsung S23 SM-S911U. After completing the most recent ui update my Smart View controls have disappeared. I can connect to my TV through Smart View, using the Labs chrome casting setting (It's the only way it works, I don't know why) and it'll screen mirror fine. BUT, there used to be a little floating icon that would appear over the top of everything that would expand with controls for Smart View; like changing the aspect ratio, or viewing the video or app just on the TV, allowing me to use my phone doing other things while streaming something on the TV. That little pop over/ floating icon is now gone. I can screen mirror but I can't change any settings or "split" between the TV and my phone. I've spent 3 days reading and watching a ton about the notification settings, and the accessibility features and, clearing caches, restarting my devices and everything else. I can't seem to find any combination of settings that brings that floating icon back. Did they get rid of that with this new update? Is it not supported anymore? I would really appreciate any help.

Me too... I no longer see the icon or the "view on tv" button. Please help as I use this feature everyday.🙏

I lost the ability to watch the TV on my phone when the new update happened. This is a real bummer.

I am having exactly the same problem. I did notice, the little bubble shows up for a millisecond and then disappears. I wonder if it has to do with the update not allowing the controls bubble to stay on top? Also, the aspect ratio option is greyed out in the smart view app options. I wonder if somebody has found a solution?

Same thing for me. Shows up for a blink and then is gone. I've tried every setting I can think of. I even factory reset my phone and still nothing. My guess is something is wrong with the update. Hopefully they'll patch it soon.

I can't view my TV on my phone now and I use that feature everyday, how do I do it now that the view on TV option is gone?

Instead of tapping the name of your TV, tap the small arrow icon and then select "Mirror Screen."
