Galaxy S23You can't change it, so you will have to deal with it. ANY phone, not just Samsung's, will display the same - the stock clock app until you unlock your phone. As stated, the phone has no access to your settings until the phone is unlocked. Perhaps if you disable all security, when your phone boots up, it will be able to access your customized settings and, thus, your clock preference. I don't know, I prefer for my phone to be locked. It's just a clock - get over it.

Galaxy S23OK. I thought you meant any time the phone was turned on i.e. even from just being locked. It looks like you are talking about when the phone is turned on after being totally shut down. I don't even remember looking at the screen while it was booting up. Will do so next time!
Anyway, it looks like you are talking about the splash screen. Carrier phones have their own splash screens showing an animation of the carrier. I have an unlocked phone so that won't be the case.
The splash screen is baked into the firmware and, like nullandvoid mentioned, you won't be able to change it unless you can probably root the phone and install a custom rom, which I doubt is possible. If the clock display is after the splash screen, as mentioned above, it cannot see your settings until you sign in.
Just do something else while the phone is starting up and look at the screen only after it gives you the sign on screen! ๐
