Galaxy S23
I know the latest update had significantly reduced battery life for s23 users but recently my phone has also gotten lagging and slow and struggle some apps. I cleared the cache after the update and I've done restarts for optimization but it feels like my phone is biting the dust. Has anyone else experienced this?
I already plan on upgrading but samsung software updates have become a concern of mine now

I have thankfully not experienced any battery drain on my S23U after the One UI 7 update. Do you have any apps that have abnormal battery usage (check under settings > battery)? The 23U is not a dinosaur quite yet, but it's not brand-new either. Have you run diagnostics to see if there's potentially a hardware problem? You can do this under settings > device care.

Everything under the diagnostics was fine. So far my screen-on time is at 2.75 hours and my screen-off off is just above 8 and im at 35%. I've mainly used it for Spotify, googlr maps, Uber eats and Samsung internet, each half an hour.

That's some pretty excessive battery drain. Try installing Good Guardians from the Galaxy Store and download the Battery Tracker module from within the app. That should provide a little more insight into what's going on.
You can also download the Battery Guardian and Galaxy App Booster modules. You may want to hold off on installing those until you've figured out if a rogue app is draining your battery.

Mine was a battery hog for a little under a week. Now I've been running mine pretty heavy for 12 hours with only about an hour plugged in on Android Auto. Just now hit 50%
