I am on AT&T. My S23 was updated with One UI 7 successfully yesterday. But since then I have completely lost AT&T wireless service. Only wifi call works. I inserted the Sim card to my older AT&T phones, it works. I talked to AT&T, was told that my account is fine and they couldn't figure why my S23 can't access the network after One UI 7 update.

One thing I noticed is that, when I tried to update my system again, this message was displayed: "software update was interrupted . No update is available at this time. Please try again in 24 hours". But the update was completed without any iterreuption....Waited 24 hours, still seeing the same message.

Does anyone experience the same issue? Shall I wait for Samsung to roll out a fix? Or is there anything I can do to have it fixed?

Update 5/23: I did a factory reset. Still didn't work. The same "update was interrupted" shows up every time I tried to update the system. It seems to me that the factory reset will keep the same system (One UI 7) while deleting all other apps and data. What a waste of time. Now my phone is a brick!! What's going on Sansumg?!

Update 8/31/2025: had the USB board changed. And it worked! This is a common issue with Galaxy phones. I have seen similar issue on other forums, including weak signal or bad reception. All related to the USB board issue. Somehow the antenna is linked to the board. It's an easy fix. 30 min job.

Hello, I understand how frustrating it is when you are unable to connect to your service provider's network. If you are unable to connect to your provider's network, try the troubleshooting steps here: https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-troubleshoot-mobile-data-issues/

We also recommend submitting an error report: https://www.samsung.com/ae/support/mobile-devices/raising-an-error-report-via-samsung-members-app/

If the troubleshooting is not helpful, the phone will need to be evaluated by a certified technician. You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S. that can do the repair: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location or by contacting customer support at 1-800-726-7864.

For service outside the U.S., please use this link: https://www.samsung.com/us/common/visitlocationsite.html

Same issue here with my S23+. Phone is worthless at this point and Samsung has no fix. This is what Apple got sued over. Pushing updates that force older model users to upgrade.

I've had the same problem. It displays normally for a few minutes, then drops to one bar of signal, then says Mobile Network Unavailable or Emergency Calls only. I thought at first it was a carrier issue, so I changed from Cricket to Mint Mobile and the problem persisted. I thought it could be a hardware issue, so I took it to a repair place and they found nothing. The last culprit was this system update, so I'm relieved to see that I'm not the only one. Hopefully that means Samsung has a fix en route. I've only been able to use the phone while connected to WiFi at home.

I literally just got this issue after the update. AT&T network won't connect. Virtual SIM is recognized but it won't go out of emergency mode only.

I had the same issue with my S23+, the UI 7 update turned off the connection to the SIM in the SIM manager settings. Worked fine after sliding it back on.

It was still connected when I checked. Flipped off and back on too to be sure. Thankfully on the way to work the next day it suddenly remembered how to work again idk

I have AT&T also but had no issues with the network but when the update completed my galaxy watch went into emergency mode and dialed 911!   Now all my notifications pop up in a gray background with black text and white outline, and you can hardly see the text! it is driving me crazy trying to figure out how to change this. The only way it is readable is to go in dark mode but I hate everything else in dark mode!  I cannot find other solutions.

I have had the same issues others have described. For me though I have Verizon. What seems to have helped is that I keep my wifi on even though I'm not connected to anything. For some reason if I have wifi turned off and just mobile data on, I get the whole "emergency calls only" notification.

I would suggest that others try this to see if it helps them as well. To potentially make this more clear, I'm saying to always keep your wifi on even if you're out and about and not actually connected to anything. It appears that having just mobile data on will not allow you to continue to have service.

We all should sue guarentee this is to make all of us s22 ultra and s23 ultra users upgrade. They want me to mail my phone to them for an issue they created. We should sue.
