I have a Galaxy S23 FE the screen on my phone turns off while in use and the phone will restart itself and my phone will also freeze up when making a call at times
This is likely due to an overheating condition. These are the actions the phone takes to protect itself when it detects an overheat condition. Sometimes you will feel the heat, and sometimes not - the sensors usually catch the condition before you feel it. It depends on whether the heat starts from the outside or inside.
Usually, there's a "toast" message on the screen that says your phone is overheating, but it's easy to miss and does not always appear.
