My phone won't timeout!

Ever since today when I put my phone down, expecting it to turn off on it's own it never does. I didn't touch anything in my settings and just now I tried to make it be able to shut off on it's own but no matter what I try it doesn't work...

Try double tap screen to turn off screen also check settings in display o think it is for screen time out

I already tried that. The timeout is on the shortest option (15s) and it's been way more than 15s

Try clearing the phone cache that should help

Can you tell me how to clear the phone cache?

With the phone off press at same time the volume up button and the power button after a few seconds the phone should start that screen use the volume up or volume down buttons to move it up or down the list to clear cache when that's highlighted Press the power button to confirm than next screen choose restart option should be selected already and press power button and all done

On the S23, you would go to settings. Go to display scroll down to timeout, you can do it from 15 seconds to 10 minutes.
The screen will darken and lock. Hope this helps oops just saw this was from last year
