Is samsung Galaxy s23 worth it in 2025?

I'm debating between this one and s22 but I heard the latter has significantly worse battery.

I'm not very knowledgeable about tech and wanted to know if it's a good idea to get a phone released 2 years ago. I'm aware s24 is out but it's a bit too expensive for me.

Currently I'm using a xiaomi redmi note 8 pro which I got in 2020 and it's lagging now so I'm looking for a worthy replacement.

S23 is a solid phone even today. It was pretty much the last good upgrade they made. Battery is definitely better than the s22 and a reason to go for it. However, if you're not very knowledgeable about tech, I'd also take a look at Google pixels. They don't have all the gimmicks of samsung and are generally easier to use. You can find the base models used for a really good price.

Get an S24 Fe instead, it has a good battery and a better camera

Yes, I still have the S23 Ultra, and it's still a powerhouse. My only dislike is the curved screen. It's terrible, and there are not a lot of options s for glass screen protectors. I have yet to find one that is 100% coverage. Aside from that, the added pen is great when grabbing text from apps or photos. I'm waiting for the new iPhone due to it's LiDAR and video capability. I woukd reccomend getting the best specs when purchasing.
