Gallery deletes my photos automatically

Every once in a while, most of my pictures in the Camera folder are deleted, and they don't even go into trash so I can restore them. Any ideas?

To Samsung developers.  I need the Samsung Gallery app to remove the imbedded instructions which automatically delete photos and videos on phone hard drive after 6 months.  This is not acceptable.  I need access to ALL photos and videos while in the field with no WiFi or data.  Google Photos and Microsoft OneDrive are inadequate when

So nobody has found a solution for this?  It's really pissing me off! I've got thousands of photos, and it only seems to be removing the best ones. I believe some are gone for good because I can't find them in Google Photos, where they are 'supposedly' being backed up to. 😠
