Digital clock overriding AOD configurations

Whenever I change the AOD to any configuration, a digital clock over rides it. The display will show my selected display for a second, then it flashes to the digital clock display? This happens whenever the screen sleeps.

I used my geek powers. Lol! I checked the setting on an app "muvis edge" and disabled the "display over" lock screen and AOD. Bingo.
