It is my understanding that Samsung employs pixel shifting in the status bar to mitigate burn-in.

It is not discernible to the naked eye, it does shift.

In the history of Smartphones, I have never seen status bar burn in on any device, regardless of brand. (OK, perhaps some very early models before they developed the screen curtain).  I believe they all use some sort of pixel shifting technology. Besides, in order to get burn in, you'd have to have the phone screen actually on 24/7/365.
