Yay another update another changes let's make everything more difficult let's change I don't know say a red camera icon to gray one now. Or green icon for a calculator to something else. Why are these changes absolutely necessary I understand the system changes I understand a lot of other changes why icons why something that's specifically hasn't changed or updated in years the specifically color coded why something that's specifically hasn't changed or updated in years the specifically color coded now needs a brand new makeover?

I understand the need for the system update but why do they also have to put unwanted games on our phone with it . I have complained about to them and for a while they were not putting additional games with the updates. If I want games on my phone I will choose them myself.

If you have a phone that you purchased from a carrier (model number ending in U), the unwanted apps come from them, not Samsung. That's who your complaint should be directed toward.

They will still download apps to your phone, it's in your user agreement. It's the price you pay for any discounts you receive. Samsung does not include games in their updates and people with unlocked phones do not get any.

I dislike this take and find that behavior by the carrier abusive.

Every carrier that sells phones has a similar terms of service agreement that locks you into them, and gives them the ability to provide updates and download apps or games to your phone without your continuing consent. If that's not to your liking, then you should buy a phone directly from Samsung.

I did and am regretting that decision wholesale. Should have bought my phone directly from a different manufacturer.

Nonetheless, nearly every phone sold today still comes with Facebook and other apps installed and you can only disable it, not uninstall it. I always only buy unlocked phones direct from manufacturer because of carrier bloat. It's clear you don't, because you would know about manufacturer app bloat.

You _can_ uninstall it on a new Nokia, I just discovered this morning. So, no, the advice to buy direct from Samsung doesn't solve it. You would have to buy direct from Nokia or someone else who lets you delete the apps they preload.

Consider One UI.... I would absolutely delete it if I could.

If they didn't purchase their phone from a carrier, then what?

Google places conditions on OEMs that enhance Android with their own skin. Part of those conditions is design language. The new aesthetic in One UI 7 is in keeping with Google's revised design language. Samsung worked with Google to develop it and released it ahead of Google's own redesigned Pixel UI. You'll see similar changes to Pixel UI in Android 16.

This is not accurate. Samsung has wide laterality in their UI design.
