Galaxy S22

Hello I’m gonna explain this the best that I can because I’m clueless and don’t know what to do and I really need help. Not galaxy S 22+ was stolen so I no longer have access to that at all, but I backed it up constantly. I could not afford to buy a new galaxy so for the time being I am on an iPhone 13 Pro so I log into my Samsung account and went to the cloud and I see where all my stuff is backed up. The Samsung pass is the most important thing that has all my passwords for work banking information, etc.. do I have any options to recover my back up Samsung pass passwords because I see where it says they are backed up, but I have no idea how to access them & this is really affecting me negatively, especially with my employer because all my work passwords are in my Samsung pass, and I cannot access it. Am I doing something wrong or can iOS device not access my backup Samsung cloud information? if someone could please help me it would be greatly appreciated because I really need help because I’m stuck with this phone until I’ll come buy a new galaxy, but I need all my passwords and everything that I have backed up. What options do I have it any to recover my back up Samsung pass passwords?

Unfortunately Samsung Pass will only work on Samsung devices. The data is not exportable to another password manager, nor readable outside of Samsung Pass. You will have to obtain another Samsung device to recover your passwords. If you are willing to switch carriers, some are offering a a free phone with a new activation. You will be able to port your number. Alao, you do not have to buy an S series phone. The A serites is 1/3 to1/2 the price.

This is going to be a little unethical, go to Best Buy, if you have the ability to use a credit card, just purchase a cheap A series phone. Sign into your account set up the phone. Go into Samsung Wallet get all the passwords that you absolutely have to have, put them in your Iphones notes app. When you get everything you need off the phone. Factory reset the phone and return the phone.

I hope this is possible for you to do this.

Not unethical ppl buy stuff use it and return it all the time only ppl. Losing is the billion dollar company's when they have to sell a used device for discount of retail but still profit 50-70% on it which still makes them millions lol

It actually *is* unethical to buy something to use for a specific purpose knowing you are going to return it. It doesn't matter if it's a billion dollar company or a mom & pop store. It's no different than buying a party dress, wearing it for  your party and then returning it.

They can purchase a cheap A series phone and just keep it, too. They can go to Amazon and buy a refurbished A series phone, and just use it until they can afford the S series they want, or use it as a backup to gain access to Samsung proprietary apps.  Besides, there is *nothing* cheap at BB.

What's weird? That Samsung has a proprietary app?

What were you using to store your passwords on your old device?  If they are stored online, such as Google Password Manager, or if Motorola has it's own password manager, you should be able to access them.  If you used Google's Password Manager, not only are they accessible on your phone and from your Google account on their website, but you can also export the data to a .csv file so that you can import the data into any other password manager.  If Motorola had its own password manager, you may be able to export the data from there (from within your Motorola account), as well, as long as it's not proprietary (as is Samsung Pass, so don't use it if you think you may ever decide to leave the Samsung ecosystem).  Did you trade in your Motorola phone, or do you still have it and does it still work?  If you have it and it's operational, as long as you have an internet connection you should be able to access your passwords.  If their app is proprietary or the data is not exportable, you may have to copy all your passwords by hand - a tedious process if you have many.

Going forward, my recommendation would be to use Google's password manager or any commercial password manager - such as OnePassword, Roboform, LastPass, etc. - something that can move with you if you change devices or phone brands.
