Is there a reason why within the last couple weeks if I have my media volume set to zero and I ask Bixby voice volume or Google Assistant volume to be at 100%, that my media volume then increases to 100%? They are two separate sounds or sound sources I should say in the phone settings. Why are they linked and I can't have the Bixby voice volume elevated without my media volume elevating?

Hello, thank you for your feedback. I understand your concerns with wanting to adjust Bixby voice on your device without changing your media volume.

There are many ways to adjust Bixby Voice's volume. The most convenient way may be to press the Volume up or Volume down buttons. Then, tap the three horizontal dots at the top of the Volume pop-up menu, and use the slider to set the volume.

From this menu, you can also tap the Settings icon to open Volume settings and adjust it from there.

Alternatively, you can launch Bixby using the Bixby button or Side button. When the Bixby pop-up menu appears, press the Volume up or Volume down buttons to adjust Bixby Voice's volume. You can also ask Bixby to do it for you. Just wake up Bixby, and then say a command, such as "Set Bixby Volume to 50 percent."

If this is not working properly for you please submit an error report:

I guess I am confused, albeit not as confused as the canned response you got from the Samsung Moderator which in no way shape or form addresses your issue, but am still confused.

To my knowledge, Bixby has always used the Media volume for it's responses, as that is what it is.  Any program that wants to output sound that is not a notification or ring tone would go over the Media slider.  You say this just started happening, what volume would be increased in the past when the same command was issued?

Bixby volume and media volume or separate previously. If I was playing a game on my phone that I didn't want to listen to the music or sound effects I would have the volume set to zero. And the Bixby voice setting volume to 100%. I would then ask Google whatever command I wanted whether it be a question or a command specifically like texting someone. And the Bixby voice would be at 100% in response to my commands. Alternatively recently when playing my game the Bixby volume would be at 0 when the media volume is at zero. When asking my phone to turn Bixby volume to 100% my media volume would then increase to 100%, so when my command was finished my media volume would then be increased to 100%, playing music in sound effects from whatever game I'm playing. They are supposed to be two separate sound sources so Bixby voice setting should not be adjusted by the media volume setting.
