I just did an update on my phone & the menu/icons (wifi, airplane mode, Bluetooth, flashlight, etc.) is no longer showing up when I swipe down from the top & I cannot find where to add it back.

Are you saying you have no quick panel at all? Did you swipe down from the top right? Please post a screenshot.

You should click the three dots on CEParsons' reply and select "Accept solution" so others know.

Notifications and quick settings are now separated by default.

To access quick settings, you can either
a) open the notification panel and swipe left

OR

b) swipe down from the top right corner (where the battery/signal icons are.)

To restore the legacy behavior, open quick settings > tap the pencil icon > Panel Settings > Together

If you're so inclined, you can use the QuickStar module in Good Lock to keep the split but adjust the ratio. I have mine set roughly to the right half pulling down the quick panel and the left half pulling down notifications. Pulling down anywhere other than from the top still pulls down notifications as well.
