I updated my 22 ultra to the new One UI now I can't access my assistant with the corner swipe feature they LITERALLY just added not that long ago. Why change how a feature works if you're just going to keep taking the functionality away?! Sometimes I'm in a loud environment, I don't want to have to leave the room just to look something up.

Don't even get me started on how the assistant is now defaulted to the power button, making it so I can't turn my phone off. Are they off their gourds? Just leave things alone if it works, this new way of doing it is actually garbage and Samsung should be ashamed. And don't start with the whole "iT's GoOgLe'S fAuLt." It's in my phone's advanced settings, not Google or the assistant.

I have a S23 and am affected too. I undrar that as an AI Gemini is better but for everything I used the assistant for Gemini doesn't do at all or way worse. Gemini is a definitive downgrade.

I'm looking at ways to downgrade the UI because of this. Just a bad move by Google.

I found a fix, kinda, to get to the Assistant by installing
Good Lock's "One Hand Operation" module. I set the assistant to trigger when I swipe from the bottom left side of my phone and now it works great. (There was an update to the Google app which broke the functionally of being able to simply talk to it, causing the "Tap To Talk" message, but I uninstalled the update and it now works as I wanted.)

I also HATE that they removed it. Gemini can't control my google home devices so it is useless for me right now. I just added the google assistant in my home page, which is messy but does the trick.
