How to Connect Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra to Laptop Using Samsung DeX.

I am trying to connect my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra to my laptop using Samsung DeX, but it is not working on both of my laptops.

I have already tried:

Using different USB-C cables

Turning on USB debugging

Checking USB settings (File Transfer / This Device)

Installing Samsung DeX software on Windows

The phone only connects for file transfer, but Samsung DeX does not start.

Can anyone please guide me step-by-step on how to properly connect the S22 Ultra to a laptop using Samsung DeX?

Also, do I need any specific cable or settings enabled?

I use Samsung DeX with my S22 Ultra, and it works well. You need to know one thing: your laptop or PC must support display transfer through the USB-C port. If it does not, the best option is an HDMI-to-USB-C cable or a standard HDMI cable with an HDMI-to-USB-C converter (I use this with an external monitor).

Also, the laptop must support HDMI input, as most older devices only support output. If nothing works because of an old device, you can use screen casting and connect through wireless DeX. It also works, but it does not provide the best experience due to low resolution and slower speed.

Thank you for the information. I have already tried two different USB-C to USB cables, but Samsung DeX is still not working.
Now I am planning to buy an HDMI to USB-C cable and test it with my setup. Hopefully, this will solve the issue. I will update here after testing.

@HashamMuhammad Sorry but Dex for Windows was discontinued some time ago. You can use Dex with a monitor wired or wirelessly but not a Windows or Mac device.
