The contact list will still accept customized groups, but there is no function to view contacts for selected group. Lost this functionality sometime in the last ?? months.
If people have such a hard time finding the groups, they must have every contact listed as a favorite. I have like 5 favorites, and never had a problem finding the groups. It has always been clearly in my view window, under the favorites, when opening contacts
