Just updated my S22, I now have call recording which I Don't Want! You can't remove it!! I paid for my phone, I should be able to disable or remove features. I went back and read the update info provided by Samsung and this feature is not listed as part of the upgrade. From reading the other notes even the S25 has it. Samsung NEEDS TO FIX THIS NOW!

Go to the Play store and download either Google Phone or Phone by Google.  Open the app and make it your default dialer.  Replace the Samsung dialer on your quick access row with the new app. It will just take over the phone functions from the Samsung phone app, but does not include call recording.  If there is ever a time where you think you may have need to record a call, you can switch to the Samsung dialer for that call only and then switch back.  You can't switch while you are already on a call, so this would only work for recording outgoing calls.

There is no way to yurn it off or remove the rrcording icon. Some users suggest installing the Google phone dialer, replacing the Samsung default dialer. For them that may be a solution but for those of us who paid for and are onvested in the default dialer who do not want to have to reprogram speed dials, there should be an option to remove the record icon. Samsung rrally botched this one. Every "solution" that others suggest is something none of us had to even think about before the One UI7 update. Someone actuslly said to me on this forum that if I didn't care for the recording button I should use a different phone....so who is then supposed to psy for that other phone??? Maybe Samsung???!!!

Does anyone know how to disable the call Recording feature?  TBH I don't mind that my phone has the capability, but the location of the button is terrible.  I can no longer hold my phone to my face to talk, as I hit that button multiple times EVERY time.  It is the most frustrating and embarrassing situation.

Like many people, I am not at all a fan of this latest update.  I sincerely hope Samsung is listening and is working on improvements.  I can't deal with this terrible call Recording Button situation much longer.  I'm a big fan of Samsung and I've had a Samsung phone for as long as I can remember, but this update is absolutely making me consider changing phones.

Sorry but the Call record but can't be disabled the only option is the download a different phone dialer like Google Phone and make it the default dialer you use.

Your phone screen be turning off when you hold it your face or place it in your pocket, when those features are enabled. Check your phone settings, please.

I can see where this is a problem for some folks in how they press their phones against their faces.

You can either download Google's phone dialer and make it your default, or simply do what I do, I have the speaker on my ear and hold the phone away from my face. I have always done this with my phone to keep makeup off my screen.

Hi, I just finished working with customer service on the recording button. To say a fan is no where in the ball park. They did not place a turn off button in the new update. I was told possibly in this new one. The engineers wanted to get feedback. I should have the option to record the conversation or not. The location is horrible! You have absolutely no idea you have turned it on. What was Samsung thinking! I'm so utterly disappoint with Samsung.

You do have the option to record or not to record press the button to record or don't press the button and it doesn't record.  And you know when it's recording because the phone says this call is being recorded in the start after you hit the button to record
