What happened to the Contact categories after the update??

I'm going to reply to my own comment as I have found the root cause of vanishing groups in contacts. When the UI7/A15 update occurred, Samsung thought it would be a "good idea" to add more storage locations for contacts and make something OTHER THAN what had previously been selected as the default storage location, the new and "better" default storage location. Because, you know, "They know what's best for you." Right?

WRONG!!!

To restore Groups to the contacts list,

1. Open contacts
2. Click the three dot menu
3. Click "View by storage location"
4. Select "All contacts" or "Phone" to make default
5. Enjoy

P.S. This also solves missing contacts that were added and did not appear on the contacts list.

I've noticed that quirk too. Essentially it's any 'storage location' that is NOT the SIM, eSIM, or "Custom List" that would have the Groups listing. However, even when you don't see the Groups listing, you can still create a new group when you assign a contact to a group (option is at the very bottom). It's only in the Groups listing where you can delete or edit a group though.

Whatever happened to the Beta stage where updates were put in front of real-life users to spot what had been lost or mangled along the way?   Latest updates - essentially anything since AI became the new hot topic - have been like a chef serving a box of broken eggs to a customer along with directions to the kitchen,  and calling it an omelette.

My contacts are found by rolling your contact down by finger the dots on right hand sid not work. You could once have many short cuts the price is going up and extras are fading away.

Found my groups but thsi AI **bleep** is not necessary. I wasn't broken before you "improved it". Stop throwing AI at non-existant problems because some one thought they could improve the phone. Wasted my time trying to find info on my phone that should never have been moved.
