I upgraded to Android 16 and ever since then the function of extending my screenshot (in the bottom left of screenshot) simply does not work anymore. I tap it and 1. it doesn't expand down and 2. it greys out not allowing me to tap it again.

Has anyone else had this issue and know of a potential fix? I use this all the time and would really want it to be working again.

How do you access the data or cache?

Where I go if I have to get deeper in a default/Samsung app or setting.
I don't use One UI 8.
I use my own installed launcher, but I think One UI 8 is blocking the ability to take a screenshot.

Those are locked by Android. I don't have that depth of knowledge as to how to access that.

The folder is (if you're curious)
/storage/emulated/0/Android/dโ€Žata/com.sec.android.app.launcher

I don't need it since I fixed the ss situation, I just thought you might want to know ๐Ÿ™‚

The old way of taking a scrolling screen shot was to take the first shot, tap the arrow and manually take the next part of the shot. Now one only has to take the first shot, tap the arrow, wait in til the screen scrolls and the phone automatically takes the shot and repeat for long screens. IMO, most people take scrolling screen shots that are impossibly long and, quite frankly should be spilt into sections if one actually wants people to read them.

I raise you fantasy football rosters..... you can fit your whole bench in one screenshot but not your starters. Long screenshot is good just to quickly share your roster with people not in your league

You would think so, but you wouldn't believe how annoying it is to receive a mile long screenshot that cannot be magnified to a readable level. Much better to send a shot of the bench and then a second shot of your starters. Anyone sends me a screenshot more than two screen lengths long, it's getting immediately deleted. If you are going to send someone info, send them info they can read.

Mine is taking the screenshot and letting me scroll and scroll but the end product is just a repeated section over and over again instead of the actual scrolled screen.

Nevermind. I fixed mine. I went to settings, apps, searched screen capture and force stopped. Now it's working correctly. Wish I did that weeks ago.

Taking a scrolling screenshot on discord now puts bunch of scroll down buttons on the pic that it didn't used to before this god awful update.
