I saw a spyphoto a few days ago from a samsung euro article showing a cream-colored/looking phone with rear cameras that were squared-looking with curved edges.
Needless to say, I got a littled excited, but I've seen enough videos and articles before the Samsung Unveiling Events to know that, most of the time, pre-Unveiling pictures/photos are nothing but irresponsible, deceptive speculation, and not based on real inside foreknowledge.
But, currently, I'm trying to decide if I'm going to wait to see what the S26 Ultra looks like, or if I'm going to purchase another phantom black certified renewed S23 Ultra from Samsung, because I really like it's styling and specs.
But the sands of the hourglass are running on the remainng time for it's software upgrades. So even with the trade-in discount, I'm not sure if going 'backwards' a couple years for a top-of-the-line phone that I think is the best-looking Samsung phone of all-time is a good idea, or should I wait to see what kind of styling changes will be made with the S26 Ultra.
One thing I've already decided for myself is, if it looks like the iPhone 'clone'🙄 S25 Ultra, or has a rear camera island similiar to the Fold, I'm going to stick with my S24 Ultra, S22 Ultra, and probably get the certified renewed S23 Ultra and just go with that.

The s23 is apart of the 7 year update cycle so you still have a few years of support. It probably won't participate in betas the entire time and software updates will be slower

Not true. The 7-year update schedule started with the S24 series. The S23 series only has one major OS version update (Android 17) remaining.

Thank you for clarifying.
I was wondering about that.🤔
But, actually, I thought they were right.
I thought Samsung changed it to 7 years for the S23 Ultra.

Samsung typically does not change a device's update schedule after release. What they're scheduled for at release is what they get.

Sounds about right.
But I thought they made an exception with the S23 Ultra.
I'm going to research it again.
But if they didn't change it, I'm probably going to wait and see what the S26 Ultra looks like.
But all of this pre-Unveiling speculation and rumors about a device with curved chrome edges and a rear camera island like the Z Fold has me thinking I'm going to pass because I like square Samsung phoneframes and square display screens.
But truth be told, if the S26 Ultra's frame looks similar to that of my Note 20 5G, I'm going to seriously consider it.
Especially if Samsung gives me an irresistible trade-in offer for my S24 Ultra.
I really like my S24 Ultra, but I don't like how easily smudges and smears stick to the screen, and having to keep a screenprotector on it to keep it clean, and to give the display the gloss appearance I like.

Yeah....that's what I thought.
I have a 1 year old S24 Ultra, but I don't plan to keep it for 7 years.
I may not even keep it for 7 more months.

I like it's processing speed.
Really, the only reason I wanted the S24 Ultra when it first came out was for the flatscreen.
But little did I, and everyone else, know that the display would be plagued with color vividness issues.
When I got mine from Samsung in October 2024, all of those issues were fixed.
But whatever this material is that was used to make this display, it attracts smudges and smears constantly.
I mean, it's bad.
And the only cure for it is to keep a screenprotector over the display.
With a quality screenprotector over the display, it's perfectly fine.
