I don't know if there's anything more annoying then having somebody click like or loved or anything else for that matter on a text message. All it does is repeat the entire message in parentheses regardless of how long it is. It clogs the thread it's the most annoying thing I've ever seen how do we make it stop? Make it stop

That is your answer then, those texts go through your carrier.

If you use Google Messages intercepts the message before it hits your phone and turns it in to the corresponding reaction.

Switch to GOOGLE messages or learn to live with it.

I hear it. I would rather prepare a message on notes copy paste and send it on Facebook Messenger then have someone sit there and watch me type out what could take 20 minutes if I'm thinking really hard or busy and then it's like a couple words. It is so deceptive and so intrusive. It's my understanding that Google messages does the same thing. I can't believe anyone ever thought it was a good idea to show each other when they are responding. Is there a way to turn that feature off?

I imagine there's many who don't care and never think about it, but if I'm messaging with some girl and it looks like she's typing for an hour to tell me something, I'm going to assume that she just put an hour of her day into messaging me. I'm either going to like that or it's going to freak me out. I have zero room for wondering if the person I'm messaging me is thinking about the effort I'm putting into the message I'm sending. I'm an overthinker and I've been in a lot of circumstances where I have to be really careful with what I say, but I don't want the person I'm messaging to have the ability to form opinions based on how long it takes me to send the message. That's probably totally weird if you've never thought about it like that, but I am a weirdo, anything but simple

Far too intrusive and revealing. There's been times where I've said too much, if you could imagine, and then I'm like no I don't want to do that, and then I just drop it down to a one or two word, and then I feel stupid because I don't know if they were sitting there the whole time watching me consider saying something and then change it to something else. I don't ever want someone to know how long it took me to say what I say
