I've looked online trying to find anything on stopping these updates but I'm having trouble if anyone has anything to stop the auto updates please let me know. I Love Samsung but this is getting infuriating

Totally agree, I don't recommend to do it. I did it because when updating to One UI 7 my phone was super slow and and the apps didn't stayed open when multitasking, they would open from the beginning, so I downgraded to the last working version which was lightning fast, and updated after they put out some updates. If the update works good from the first date this guy wouldn't be asking for this in the first place.

i got an update notificatiin saying it will install on the 25th, at 8:02 am. i go to sleep today, the 21st, telling myself i will turn off all network connections on the 25th to avoid it, and it installs itself at 6:30am. all auto update settings are off. and smart schedule is set for 8:02

i want to avoid the sideloaded app ban.

therevis no way to schedule updates anymore.

Even if your plan had worked to turn off network connections on the 25th, the instant you turned the network connections back on, the update would download.  If the update had already downloaded, turning off the networks would do nothing anyway, as the update file is already on your device waiting to be installed.  I don't know why it jumped the gun on the scheduled update time, unless it's programmed to install once downloaded, and you get a few days to ignore it and it will automatically install without an active command to postpone it.  You do have to option to schedule a more convenient date and time than the automatic installation date/time.  Perhaps that's what you needed to do.

Is your phone working well after the update or do you have issues other than the fact that you did not want the update installed at all?
