Roaming update

Update to remove the roaming notice its inconvenient for people who are living near a border city. Also saftey issue when driving only way to disable settting to continue viewing my maps is by pressing dismissing it. If I have roaming on I understand charges may apply( my phone network allows roaming)

I believe that warning is a carrier directed warning, not the phone's. The device doesn't know when you are roaming, and the SIM doesn't know your rate plan.

It's a setting on the phone it happens when data roaming is on but it happens with both my Galaxy phones. When I had an iPhone same carrier it would never pop up. I want them to make an update to at least turn off pop-ups for roaming.

Yes, the phone has a setting to allow data roaming. Not everone has a roaming plan. However the data roaming, and that warning is a carrier thing. The only way to turn off the message is to turn roaming off. With time and a real keyboard, I can give you a history of cell phone use and roaming

I don't turn off the roaming because I'd rather be connected automatically. I will manually choose a tower sometimes because my service will try to force me on U.S.A. towers when Mexico towers are better in that area. My main concern is that while driving it gets distracting to dismiss the pop-up while navigating. It is annoying to use the phone it just comes up randomly but I know when I had an iPhone it wouldn't do that. And when I had my first Android never noticed it because I was away from a border city
