Anyone else have poor punctuation when using voice dictation on Samsung Galaxy phones, moreso when using Google messages? Can it be fixed or altered to be better via setting? Let me know. Thanks all.

Switch from the Samsung voice engine to the Google voice engine.  Settings/general management/keyboard list and default - slide on Google Voice Typing.  GV typing handles spoken punctuation better.

Many people prefer the Google Voice engine to Samsung's.  Neither one is perfect, but at least Google won't type out the word "period" at the end of a sentence when you say it.  I believe it's not good with "new paragraph".  It will start a new paragraph when you say it, but it will sometimes type out "new paragraph".

Yes, and typing out punctuation is exactly what I'm running into, frustrating. Just currently switched to Google voice, so will give it a try. Thank You.

I just figured out that rather than saying the word comma or the word period when speaking text using samsung voice input , you should just speak normally and let it put the punctuation in for you. It seems to be pretty accurate.
