Phone is not making notification sound when alerted

I have my sound on my text notification on and I only get a vibration when I get alerted. I restarted, checked for updates & make sure it was on loud.

Make sure notification categories are turned on under settings > notifications > advanced settings. Then go into the messaging app's notification settings to make sure they're set the way you want.

make sure you don't got on "do not disturb".

I've got the same issue. Restarted several times and checked settings. Nothing is helping.
