Is there a way to bring back the search bar on top on the app screen.

For usability, this should be either at the top or configurable.
-Love how all the people who want it at the bottom are excluded from your usablility when you state "It should be at the top <and not movable>, or configurable <So I can have it where I want it>"

Users already using this functionality will need to learn and adapt to the new method, which may be annoying or difficult for some, such as elder people.
-Is this not true of any major update?  Companies move things around all the time, I may start out as annoying, but you get used to it, and then become accustomed to it to where if it changes back, they get yelled at again...  If this were up to "elder people" we would still be on flip phones.  Change IS good people!

To those working at Samsung.

Whenever you update things and move them around. Keep the Original Layout as an Option.  If you have it as an option, then Provide a Walk Through Set Up. You do it with everything else. Also, keep in mind redundant updates like cosmetics and layouts should be able to be rejected or deleted.

To those posting on the Samsung Members Forums,

These threads are not monitored by Samsung.  If you want them to actually see your message, submit a request in the members app, that way it actually goes to whom you addressed your statement.  Also One UI 7.0 brings allot of features and is not a "redundant" graphics only update as you imply.

No, I hate the search bar being at the bottom. Any app I intend to use I have always searched for. Muscle memory keeps making me go to the top. Would it be to hard to add customisation so we can select where we want it instead? That way those who prefer it at the bottom can have it there and us who prefer it at the top can have it at the top. Win win.

This needs to be customizable! I have many apps and use the search as I don't have time or desire to organize them into inconvenient folders or home screen pages.

Also, make app sorting more customizable. All this effort on a new UI and we still can't sort apps by "last used" or "date installed". Lazy, lazy Samsung.

I've never received a more bloated and unnecessary "feature" in an update.

I don't want it, I don't need it, and it made me spill my coffee this morning. Now I dread what could happen tomorrow. Randomly hang up on the wife, leading to a divorce down the line? Forget to drive the kids to school? And pick them up?

No Sir. I can't take these risks and hope an option to disable this always-on-top ui bullcrappery arrives posthaste.

I now have found out I don't actually have a wife or children. All I can think is it the app drawer search bar "feature's" fault...?

Why risk it, it needs to go.

This whole update is an absolute shambles presided over by idiots.

None of the changes were necessary. Most of the changes are not wanted or required by existing users. They may have been part of a "why I like my iPhone more than a proper phone" survey.

I use the search app functionality a lot. Swipe up and the movement takes your eyes to the top of the screen where search bars go. It worked. Please bring it back mr product manager... It will mean I won't use an iPhone.

Don't get me started on messing with the power button so I can have a one touch AI launch though....

15+ years of being an android user and I have never so strongly considered purchasing an iPhone!! I'm only slightly joking lol, It's so out of place, and it would not undermine the 'one handed' premise if the location was customisable!! Also who actually needs the app search to be so accessible.. given you have the power to choose where you place your apps....๐Ÿ˜…

You can continue to be an Android user by going to another Android brand if your issue is with OneUI7 and not Android 15.  No need to go to iPhone.  Why switch operating systems completely?  You do realize that there are more than just Apple and Samsung in the device world, right?

Please allow the option for this to be configurable where user like the search bar to be.
