Mic Mode Feature request for S20

Hello,

I’m using the Galaxy S20 with One UI 5.1 and have noticed there is no Mic Mode toggle available during calls or VoIP apps like WhatsApp, Zoom, or Signal. Audio sounds heavily filtered and cave-like on audio notes and there is no way to disable the mic processing, which leads to poor voice quality.

I have spoken to Samsung Netherlands support, who confirmed that Mic Mode is a software feature on newer models and could be implemented on the S20 if escalated to HQ as the feature is available on the S21 onwards so this is not even a new development project but just a port.

Please submit this request to the Samsung development team in Korea, asking them to consider:

Adding Mic Mode (Standard / Voice Focus / Full Spectrum), or

A simple toggle to disable mic audio filtering/DSP

The S20 is still a capable device, and this would be a meaningful update for long-time users.

What does one have to do to send this to Korea?

It's taking me so long time for escalating this (phone, Whatsapp, X, here), etc

I've been trying really hard and this feature isn't a massive deal. Yet audio notes sound horrible with muffled and thumps all over the place.

They did "Mic Mode" on the S21, would be just a small port, 1-2 days work max.
