Galaxy S PhonesHello, thank you for your feedback. I understand your concerns with wanting to connect your phone to your laptop and I will be more than happy to look into this with you.
You can use the Link to Windows feature with your phone and Windows 10 PC. Available screens and settings may vary by software version and model. Link to Windows is not available on MAC Computers.
Before you start be sure that your PC is up-to-date and that a Microsoft Account is added.
Open Settings on your PC
Select Update and Security
Select Check for Updates
Allow all updates to download and install
On your PC select start and open settings
Select Accounts and then select Your Info
If needed sign in with a Microsoft Account
Follow the prompts to complete setup
The Link to Windows feature may already be built into your phone if not you can download it directly from the playstore.
Be sure to have your phone app installed on your Windows 10 PC
Navigate to open the Your Phone app on your PC
Select open your phone on your PC
Select the checkbox and a QR code will appear
Swipe down on your phone screen to open the quick settings panel
Tap Link to Windows
Tap Link your phone to your PC on your phone's screen
Tap Continue and Scan the QR code to log into the same Microsoft account that is on your computer
Tap Continue and follow the permissions
If you have any difficulty setting up Link to Windows or you need to unlink a device, contact Microsoft Support https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/troubleshooting-the-phone-link-app-82b6c6aa-544e-d4af-fd5d...
