Galaxy S PhonesIt won't change the format of those already in that format, but all new ones will be saved as .jpg. You could open each of the HEIC photos, choose save as copy and the copy will probably be saved as .jpg. If it does, you can then delete the HEIC photos--unless you want to keep them.

Galaxy S PhonesThe same problem just started on my Galaxy s21 and it stymies friends I send pictures to. I've read the solutions you and others listed but can't find the specific location in Settings to change the heic setting! This is an S21 phone. Many thanks.

Galaxy S PhonesAlmost a year later, I saw this. Did you ever find the setting? It's in the camera settings, not the phone settings. Open the camera and go to the settings. Turn off the slider for high efficiency pictures. Your pictures will now be saved as jpg.

Galaxy S PhonesHow can I select all the HEIC pictures and changed them all at one time, instead selecting each one to change them?

Galaxy S PhonesI do not believe you can mass convert them without using a third party conversion app, and those are usually pricey or annoyingly ad infested so as to be virtually unusable in the free versions. Did you not realize your camera was set to save photos in that format rather than jpg?
