A week ago I started having an issue while using the Samsung email app that acts like some type of scroll lock.
I can open the email app, select which email account I want to use with no problem. But, when I try to type a message in a new email or reply to an email I can only type until the text message body meets the keyboard box. At that point the cursor/screen snaps back up to the top of the message. It won't allow me to scroll further down the screen. I can keep typing but there's no way to view what I'm writing.
Something has changed in the Samsung email program because it was working right before. This happens with I use both MSN and Comcast emails. My Samsung phone no longer receives updates so that can be ruled out as the cause. I've not changed any settings.
This is very aggravating! I've seen that other users are having this same problem with all stating that the issue started in the past couple of weeks. What's changed? C'mon, Samsung... fix this ASAP! This is totally unacceptable!!
UPDATE: THIS MORNING THERE WAS AN UPDATE TO SAMSUNG EMAIL THAT INCLUDED A PATCH TO FIX THE SCROLLING PROBLEM. SO FAR, SO GOOD!
clearing cache worked a few times. then went right back to same issue. went as far as clearing data on both my Z Fold 7 and S25U and clearing cache doesn't work. Even went once step farther from Gemini recommended deleting app and reinstalling and no luck. Hope Samsung hurries up and sends out an update soon, driving me crazy.
Lol, I'm glad and I understand the frustration as I was facing the same when working away from laptop and emails after emails were coming and I was literally acting as keyboard ninja without knowing that whatever I'm typing is correct or not. Happy to hear it fixed for you. 🙂
I'm afraid the fix only lasted a couple of days as I and others just found out. Once again I can't scroll down if I reply to an email. Cozyhouse2 just provided interesting input about why the fix didn't last. Sounds plausible since my old S10 doesn't get Samsung updates anymore but still gets Google Play Store updates. Just hope they get a permanent fix soon.
