That shot you captured is absolutely incredible! You got a perfect view right into the Milky Way's core. The bright, hazy band is the light from billions of stars and dense star clouds. What makes it so dramatic are the dark patchesโthose aren't empty, they're vast dark nebulae (like the Great Rift) made of cosmic dust, which are actually where new stars are born!
