I am surprised that the most expensive phone I have ever bought does not allow me to run my external dac. 

Has there been a solution for this? This is a big deal to those who need specific DAC decoding to play dsf and similar files. 

Is this just a zfold thing? Or Samsung decision for their whole line of the devices?

Solution. Use a better cable. It will work as expected.
