My z5 updated in early JUN and several changes I did not like.  But one I did like.  when playing a game if i hit the volume button it would show a seperate volume control for the game.  That phone broke and was replaced by Samsung care.   I have updated the new phone but the seperate volume controls are not appearing now.  Any ideas on how to get them back

No that does not add a seperate sound control when you use the volume up or down button.

But you can set the volume level for specific apps with sound assistant. Those apps will have sound at the level you set, regardless of your main volume settings. You can also configure game mode and set the volume level within the mode and turn on game mide when you play a game

Actually that is exactly what addresses individual app volume.

In sound assistant, choose individual app volumes, then add apps you want to control individual volumes. When you set the volume for each app, if you set it at 100% you will only see the main volume slider when you adjust volume while using the app. If you set the volume for the app lower than 100% you will see separate volume sliders when adjusting volume while using the app. 1752123829769.jpg1752123829783.jpg1752123829800.jpg

Almost had it there, but going through the settings I finally found it.  It is under customize volume panel, Expanded Panel where you turn on the App Volume.

Thanks for everyones input,  this is the fix.

Go to settings/sounds and vibration/volume.  Scroll all the way down and slide on "Use Volume buttons for media".  You can also do this through Sound Assistant.

Otherwise, the media volume control slider is on the volume control panel and when you hit the volume button, you will see 3 dots on top of the individual slider that comes up.  Tap the dots to view the media slider.
