Pre-ordered z flip7, recieved a broken phone

I had pre-ordered the 512gb z flip7, but unfortunately as soon as I turned on the phone I discovered the touch screens weren't functioning (they didn't register any inputs, pushing the start setup button, emergency contacts, power off, etc) after 2 hours with support i will have to return the phone. To add insult to injury, if I want another I will have to pay full retail price, even though the reason I have to return my preorderd phone is entirely samsungs fault.

So essentially my reward for pre-ordering the phone was: I lent samsung $1000+ dollars for a couple weeks, spent 2+ hours with tech support, and then shipped them a package so that if I still want the flip 7 I can pay full price to get the phone at least 2 weeks after launch. I don't think I will ever be purchasing a Samsung product again, or at least I won't buy one from Samsung themselves.

You don't have to re-order right away, you can wait for another promotion - they usually have some right after launch as well.  Usually starts immediately after you order one at full price.  They should make good on the promo, the shipment had to be insured, even if it shipped perfect from the factory, the shipper may have damaged it in some way, and they will get reimbursed by the shipper, refurbish the phone and re-sell it.  You might want to complain here:
