Group text help

Can texts individuals just fine and can send messages in group text but will not receive messages in the group text. RCS is connected. Please help brand new phone fresh out the box today

A few things to check:

Did you previously use an iPhone? If so, did you turn off iMessage and fully disassociate iMessage from your phone number?

Do you have mobile data enabled?

Do you have MMS enabled?

Do you have auto-download MMS turned on in your Messages app?

Do you have auto-resend as text turned on in your messages app?

If none of these things resolve the issue, I recommend contacting your carrier.

Open up your goggle messenger app...tap on your picture/account in the top right corner and scroll down to "messages settings" ... open message settings ...scroll to "advanced" ....open advanced and the very first setting is where you can change that...then scroll down to "text on galaxy" and make sure that's ticked on as well....hope this helps...I was having the same issue and it was driving me nut 😂

Text on galaxy devices is not listed as an option for me

Yeah,some option menus may not have that option, so it's not necessary if the option is not there...but,check for updates in the Google store and re-check for that option again(if there is an update available) ...the more important option is the "group messaging" option....also,you may need to go into your apps and clear the cache for Google messages.

Hello, Community! I want to delete individual text messages and not wipe the entire chain. I could do single deletes on my old cell phone, but can't change this function (default?) on my Galaxy Z Flip 5; even Gemini does not know how to do this.

You should make your own post instead of posting in an unrelated post. You should be able to long press a single message and hit the delete icon on either the top or the bottom of your messaging app, depending on which app you are using.

The same thing happened to me with my group messaging. Out of the blue I stopped receiving them. I changed nothing on my phone and there is no option to update
