Fold 5 Display problems after update to Android 16 One UI 8.0

Fault:

No response of the tough display in the middle of the screen. (Also in Landscape modus) in all apps.

At home screen middle part response.

Display response in settings screen.

Keyboard in any kind of application don't response in the middle section.

Tests I have done so far:

Start in safe mode. Still not response

Run phone test in settings. Display shows no faults and response.

Check for updates on all apps i have installed.

Multiple times switch off and on again.

 

Please help.

Sorry you're experiencing this. Follow the best practices after an update guide if you haven't already, clearing cache partition in particular.

When you say "run phone test in settings," do you mean you ran diagnostics in the members app? If not, make sure you do.

If the issue persists, you will likely need to visit a certified samsung repair center to fully diagnose and/or repair the issue.

Thanks for your reply.

I tried the guide for the clearing the cache file but will not get into the mode. My phone starts normal and i got a small screen telling me: [PDP] back up:fail  setup-wizard[FINISH] Any idea what cause this?

I use "device care" option in settings and than run the diagnostics to check my display.

After you mentioned the members app i have done the same again. Don't resolve my issue.

Sounds like there may have been some kind of error during installation of the update. You could attempt to back up data to prevent data loss and factory reset your device, though I'm not sure that would help if there were some kind of installation error.

If factory resetting doesn't solve the issue, you can try using Smart Switch on PC to reinstall a clean update.

If you don't have access to a PC or id you feel this is beyond your scope/comfort zone, you can visit a service center and they should be able to flash clean firmware onto your device.

Ever since installing Android 16 on my Galaxy ZFlip 6, I continually have my screen freeze up when opening any app. The message indicates that my built-in screen is not optimized for the current android version. Please FIX this!
