Dex in One UI 8 is garbage. How do I go back to the previous Dex UI? Z Fold 6

TLDR: The OneUI 8 Dex UI is horrible and I need a way to go back to how it was before.

My phone auto updated to One UI 8 overnight. It didn't add any improvements on the mobile side but has absolutely ruined the Dex experience for me.

The apps on Desktop open just on single click instead of double click, opposite of how it should be on a desktop. And why can't I drag them wherever I want anymore? They're so far off the left edge.

The applications menu now opens in a tiny window instead of full screen and is absolutely congested. And they've all been moved to the center of the taskbar. 

The UI elements seem like a copy of the phone UI, rather than keeping them separate and deicated for desktop interface. Like just look at this notification panel: it used to look like something from Windows 10/11. Now it is just a mirror of phone UI that was designed for touchscreen, and it is so tiny.

This feels like a UI designed to copy iPad rather than something dedicated to Mouse and Keyboard use. 

Anyways, how do I go back? I cannot tolerate any more of this garbage UI.

This update **bleep** dex up so bad that for the first time of my life I'm considering leaving Samsung and going to Apple.

The only thing keeping me tied to a Samsung phone was Dex, it has officially been sabotaged.  Like rats fleeing a sinking ship, so to will I.

Yeah sure, hand out the Dex work to Google because they of course are not known for killing products.

I agree that in theory it could be a step back to take two steps forward. But for now, those forward steps are yet to be taken.

Is it possible to factory reset to undo this new update, I hate it so much that I've reverted back to using my s10 +

This basically ruins how a tablet and dock work.

If i connect to my TV, i don't want my tablet screen to be active. It's connected to a dock, and i could close the cover. The cover turns the tablet "off", but DEX on the TV still worked giving me a browser/entertainment option without connecting my entire pc to my TV.

If i connect to my dock, i generally want the choice to have my tablet screen active or not. Just like you can choose to close a laptop to just use the external screen. This is no longer an option. 

Well, that's no longer an option, so i will no longer be using DEX. It has become easier to just connect my PC to my TV than it's inconvenient to use DEX. Thanks to Samsung for making sure i updated my PC to get rid of it's issues, and forcing me back to windows even for easy enterainment which was previously fixed by a dock and DEX Classic.

I agree! it's **bleep**! I can't put more than 6 icons on my task bar, it doesn't remember window size and the workflow for the apps is awful? The last one was SO much better! I hope someone in the programming department fell asleep at the keyboard and accidently hit "submit". I used to brag about DEX now all I can do is complain about it.

Come on Samsung! Do better!

this is such **bleep**, if i wanted my phone to look like this in dex i would just use mirror and turn my phone sideways. ive had every galaxy since the s3 and now s24 is my last one, screw samsung and their belief that they always know better then the customer. why the **bleep** wouldn't they atleast give us the option to have one or the other, how hard would that be. stop messing with my **bleep**. dex was the biggest reason for me sticking with samsung, its like half my phone was taken away, i want half the money i paid for the phone back!
