I think the S24 Ultra isn't selling as they expected. The intent is to prolong the stable update to get more people to either upgrade, or to switch completely, but for us S24 Ultra owners I personally dont think its really worth the upgrade to the S25 Ultra especially after the stable version is released. I dont think the extended battery life is really that beneficial especially with magsafe chargers being an option. Your regular daily activity won't change enough to be noticeable, and once you put a case on how much of a difference will it really be visually. I think bench test numbers dont really matter to the daily user. JUST MY OPINION.

Right. Lots of people will dump functional phones and go drop a grand on a new phone because an update came out a week or two later than people were guessing at. š

For real. People in these forums can't seem to grasp that the vast majority of users do not know or care what software version they are on, as long as they can send text messages and scroll social media.

If people want to throw money at a phone that puts too much emphasis on AI while removing S Pen features, simply because of an incremental upgrade to the operating system, I say let them. I don't buy devices based on what version of the OS it has - but for how it will enhance my life. Seeing what Samsung did to the S Pen is what stopped me from trading up from the S24U. Even with the usual suspects in the tech blogosphere talking it up, I suspect that S25U sales will be dismal. Perhaps - just perhaps - it will give Samsung the incentive to stop trying to fix things that aren't broken.

I couldn't agree more with your well-spoken opinion that we both share. Incremental uogrades and small visual changes aren't enough for me to trade my phone in. I might not use all the functions of my S pen daily, but the option is there if I so choose to use it. Next year, get rid of the pin hole camera and make it an under the display camera, and maybe I'll consider it. Thank you for your feedback. ā¤
