Will Samsung replace the usb-c to usb-c cables that come with laptops? They keep cracking the casing around the plug. Seems like alot of people are complaining. Happened to me as well and cust support told me it was not covered under warranty.

I don't think Samsung is the one who creates the USB C ports, they just install them after mass purchasing them. They probably bought a batch of broken ones and installed them into your laptop without knowing that they're messed up. Albeit, I have no idea what you mean by cracked or how it happens. Are you sure you're not bending it in any way without noticing?

I am referring to the plastic casing around the usb-c end of the cable.

That's what I had thought. I'm not sure, I've never heard of this issue prior, it sounds like all apple lightning cables. haha

But anyway, have you tried buying one with a metal casing instead? With my book pro 360, I bought a 10' cable and it happened to come with metal casings around the USB C plugs.

I probably will end up replacing the cable myself. I am sad that Samsung won't help and suggested i buy another of the cable from them. I bought the laptop about 8 months ago. Needless to say I don't trust the Samsung cable anymore.

Yeah, I bought a new cable almost instantly because the one that comes with them are too short. Just get one from Amazon, 10' cable of your choice or whatever
