Samsung T7 and T9 SSDs prevent booting

I've been using Samsung T7's for some time to create backups, although previously I always just reformatted them before using them. This time, however, I decided to use the Samsung Magician and thus left the drives as they were, doing a basic Magician setup on them before use.

One of my computers, that can use the reformatted T7's without issue, has a problem with both the T7 and the T9 that I used Magician to configure, in that it is unable to get past the POST screen if they are plugged in when booting up. Once the machine is past that initial splash screen, they can be plugged in without causing issues. As this is a machine that I primarily use remotely and my intent is to leave a drive plugged in for an automated backup to run on it, then transfer the files to a new drive to keep with me when I'm in the area (so if something physically happens to the machine that also destroys the external drive I'll still have a recent copy to restore onto a new machine from), this will be problematic when an update comes through and the computer restarts, as it will never come back up without me or someone else going to the machine's physical location and unplugging the drive and rebooting. Which largely defeats the whole purpose of setting the thing up for remote access in the first place.

Has anyone else experienced this or a similar problem? If so, what solution, if any, did you find for it?
