I'm reaching out because my laptop is no longer recognizing input from my stylus or pen. The pen does not require Bluetooth or batteries; additionally, I was previously able to use my phone's pen on my laptop as well. However, neither the pen I used for the laptop nor the one I used for my phone is working on the laptop screen anymore.  I also noticed that the pen menu icon is not showing up when I use either pen, so perhaps it has something to do with it. There are a few settings to play around with that could help detect the pen, so that is out of the picture.

I'd like to know if there's a way to fix this or if there's a setting I need to adjust. For context:

  • The touchscreen still works with my fingers.
  • The pen(s) used to work fine before on this device.
  • The pens do not require any power source and were previously functional.
  • I have already attempted restarting my laptop.
  • My laptop is up-to-date with software updates.
  • The screen of my laptop has been cleaned and wiped down SEVERAL times.

I already asked for help on another community, first time commenting on Samsung communities, and stuff such as disabling, enabling, and updating the digitizer has not worked.  Please let me know what steps I can take to resolve this issue or if there's anything I should check in the settings or drivers.

I understand the troubleshooting should still help, as replacing the spin tip should work. Depending on the model, if nothing else is helping, a new S-Pen will be required.  You can purchase one at https://samsungparts.com/

Hello!  Thank you for responding, but unfortunately, this did not help since the device I am facing these issues with is a laptop, not a phone or tablet.
