A Series & Other Mobilehello everyone
why can everyone make your phone silent without security code or fingerprint or any kind of security methods?
in my pov samsung should make putting phone on the silent mode as more secured as when someone try to make it on the airplan mode or turning the internet off

A Series & Other MobileThey don't want anyone to be able to mute their phone if the phone is locked. I guess they have children or childish co-workers who are in the habit of turning their volume down when they are not looking.

A Series & Other MobileI think they are mostly complaining about it being, in their mind, a security issue. If someone can turn their volume down, they may miss an important call.

A Series & Other MobileSounds like to me that they need to take some personal responsibility in securing their phone on their person.
That said, in Lockdown mode you can't do anything to the phone without first entering your PIN, not even adjust the ring volume.

A Series & Other MobileIt's interesting to me how everyone sees a feature meant for their convenience as a security risk. I would imagine they put that volume control there for the convenience of the user to adjust their ringer even when the phone is locked. I personally wouldn't consider someone changing/being able to change my volume as a security risk, because even if I missed a call or notification, it would still appear in my notification panel. Millions of users keep their phone on mute. Correct me if I'm wrong, though (since I don't have the update yet), it appears that that particular volume control is for the media volume, not the ringer volume.

A Series & Other MobileThat particular volume control is for media only, you can tell by the musical note. And, if your phone is stolen, you have bigger problems, and who cares if they turn the ringer off?
