A Series & Other MobileYes, all Samsung phones have Knox built in protection. Those apps may have come down in the security update. You said they appeared suddenly. Did you have an update recently? They may have added the apps in order to give more control over the Knox features. Just guessing, as I have a) not had a recent security update and b) don't have those folders on my phone. Do you have a carrier locked phone? Perhaps your carrier pushed it out.

A Series & Other MobileIt may have been a silent push. What do you mean government phone? Provided by a social services agency or government employer? Either way, I wouldn't worry about the extra apps. It looks like they just give you more control over the Knox features.

Consider contacting your employer and letting them know that this is happening so that their IT people can look into it.

A Series & Other Mobile@Saiko_Bichitaru More than likely this phone is still on a MDM (mobile device management) with that Government agency. Contact them and they will provide the information that you are looking for.

A Series & Other MobileI just bought my S25 Ultra - upgraded from S22 Ultra. I took advantage of a promotion to include Samsung Care+ with Theft and Loss. The Theft and Loss tier requires that you sign up for Knox Guard. Knox is already part of the phone's O/S, buried in the About Phone section of the settings. Knox Guard allows the phone to be wiped remotely if it's reported lost or stolen. But it has to be registered first, which was fraught with problems as of 10/24 because some Samsung service was deprecated. Anyway...that's the story on Knox... 😉
Also - Knox can be used by any organization that manages its phones (Companies, Government, etc.) and they can use Knox the way I described Samsung Care+ uses it. Doesn't have to be a Samsung Care+ scenario - it may be your company requires it so they can manage and wipe the phone if they want.
