Is it okay to use ram plus? I have heard that it can cause more rewrite cycles than wear your phone down quicker..

Yeah, having the RAM Plus setting on your phone is okay, as long as you're not setting it to a higher setting, you should be okay.

Yes you were able to help. I hate it when you're watching tech videos and some say you should do a certain thing.Others say you shouldn't do it then makes it harder to know which is correct.

One video I watched said if you're gonna use it at all.You should set it on the lowest setting, which in my case is two.

TLDR: You can turn it on if you want, the worst that can happen is you won't notice any difference, but If your phone feels slower than it should, enabling it might help. It's perfectly safe to try it and see how it feels.

If your phone works fine with it off, leave it off. Turning it on might potentially backfire, but not because of wear. Storage has so much life in it, your phone will fall apart long before you'll get anywhere near any solid state storage damage. The problem might come from the fact that it's slower than ram, and some data might get written into it instead, meaning it would actually end up running some things a bit slower, but honestly, I doubt anyone can notice the difference.

However, if you feel like your phone is being pushed a bit too hard sometimes, and reloads apps too often, things take longer to open, or some more demanding tasks fail, it might be beneficial to enable RAM Plus. The only difference in amount of it, is how much of your storage will be reallocated to RAM Plus.

I never used it, until I ran into an issue with long voice recording failing to transcribe (would get to 30-40% and then just stop). It was a shot in a dark as my Fold 7 has 12GB of RAM, but enabling RAM Plus (another 12 GB) instantly resolved that issue. Recording is something I use a lot for work, so I keep RAM Plus on.

The reason I asked this question is cause my friend says it's okay to turn it on, but there are tech youtubers that are saying you should not turn it on that it might wear out.The storage quicker?So that's why I asked the question because it gets confusing.When you have different opinions

Wearing out your SSD is something that is technically possible, and many YouTubers are talking about it, but you never actually see anyone's SSD fail, it's because it takes years to wear them out, even under the most intense use. Personally, I'm not worried about that at all.
