Please help... I am unable to find the "cents" symbol on my Galaxy S6, Model # SM-G920W8. I've tried the "hold down the $ key" but that doesn't work with this phone. Acquiring this symbol can make my dealing with prices much easier.
Thank you all for your replies... As my phone is so old, it doesn't have some of the options that the newer models have, such as "Keyboard settings, Text Shortcuts, etc." Thanks again!
@WdB54 That is a 9 year old phone so not sure if any suggestions here will work. But when on the keyboard look for a key like "!#1" in lower left. Click on it and it will switch to keys with symbols on them. You will find the $ sign there.
Here's a trick. Copy the ยข symbol. Go to your keyboard settings, then text shortcut, then text shortcut, then add "cent." For the expanded phrase, paste the ยข symbol. Now, when you type "cent," it'll automatically change to ยข unless you press the checkmark to cancel autocorrect.

You just go to settings (usually a gear-like symbol on your phone. Then search for keyboard or keyboard list. Open that and find where it says text shortcuts.Tap that and type the word "cents" in where it says shortcut. If you Google the phrase "cents symbol" you can find and copy that symbol to your clipboard. Next go to where it says expanded phrase and paste the symbol. Now, like the person said, when you type the word "cents" the symbol will come up as an option. Thanks Turbo. Worked great!
