Where so I can buy another for back up? You must have a deal store next to you.

Why would you buy another "for backup" if you hate the phone?  Just sell or trade in the one you have and buy a better one, and this time investigate before you buy.

Sounds like a phone that's only meant to be a phone - a utilitarian device for people who need an inexpensive method of communication - a burner, if you will.

Im not sure what types of stuff you are doing on this, but this phone is not meant to do heavy tasks or gaming. Even the camera is not so great. This phone is meant for basic tasks like calling, messaging, light browsing, and taking some pics, that's it. If you need a phone to do more, unfortunately, you will have to upgrade to a higher end device.

I guess the freezing part I texted about nobody saw. I dont do any fancy things I have a laptop for that. I could be looking at emails and it freezes.

People saw the freezing part.  You did not mention what you were doing at the time it was freezing up on you.  I don't know the specs of that particular device, but whether you paid $99 or $180, it's still the lowest of the low end phones and has less memory, less processing power and less drive space, all of which are needed to function effectively.  Before purchasing any phone, you should make sure it has and does what you need it to do.  It should not be freezing up reading emails, unless your emails are full of images, which take processing power, memory and drive space to process.  Have you tried clearing out the  phone's cache partition?  Making sure you did not fill up the storage space?  You need to keep at least 10% space free in order for apps to work properly.  If you have 64GB of storage and you have 60 GB filled with apps and photos, you will have lags and freezes.  That type of phone is made to only have essential apps installed and to utilize the SD card for photo storage.

I don't know what you were hoping for in a sub $300 phone.

I did not say it was OK.  Do not misinterpret what I say.  What I essentially said, is know what you are paying for.  This particular model of phone is meant to be a pure communication device for people who only need a phone.  You actually DO get what you pay for.  Any phone of any brand, with low specifications to meet a certain price point is not going to perform well as anything other than a phone.  For a sub $300 price tag you do not get a premium processor, you do not get a lot of memory and you do not get a lot of storage space.  Whose fault is it that you did not investigate the specifications and pros and cons of this model?  You obviously went strictly by price without knowing if the phone would meet your needs. I understand people may need to budget their phone dollars wisely, but even within a budget, you want to make sure that you are getting bang for your buck.  If you paid twice as much for your phone as the MSRP, then the retailer you purchased it from ripped you off.  That's not Samsung's fault.

Not every phone meets everyone's needs.  But, if you have specific needs or wants, you need to make sure the phone does what you want it to do.  There are hundreds of review sites that would have told you the specifications and pros and cons of this phone.  This is strictly on you for not investigating.  Now you want to complain about it being substandard.  It does what it's supposed to do.

I will repeat myself here:  YOU DO NOT GET PREMIUM PERFORMANCE OUT OF A BUDGET PHONE. All phones are not the same, or else there would be no reason for different models at different price points.  It's not just a matter of "let's make every model the same and let's see how much people are willing to pay"

Oh, and if you had an opportunity to get a "free" phone that does not freeze, you should  have grabbed it.  You were given suggested ways to mitigate the freezing issue but, obviously, it's more than you want to do.  I guess because phones should just work with no user action.

The phone is actually bad.. the display panel is awful and mediocre so it freezes and does ghost touching.. if your argument is that "it's a low spec phone or budget phone" im sorry to say but there are other phones in same price range that does way better than the A06. We know it's low spec but at least dont freeze 9/10 times. To whoever this is for.. dont update to any later android versions,  stay on android 14 for your sanity. The problem is the software and not the specs. The software is too heavy for it, i know this because with a custom rom it never freezes and it's fast (the problem of bad display panel quality is still there). I used a similar phone in this category and it rarely froze (im a light user) even my Samsung S5 i kept as a relic (running android 13 custom rom) never freezes, so there is no excuse tbh. Samsung made build quality mistakes and we should accept that. It even freezes on WhatsApp and during bank transfers.  My best decision was installing a better rom on the phone. Sometimes it freezes and refuses to move, and i have to hard reset. I do all kind of thing like wiping of system cache.. but the phone is a potato and that should be your level of expectancy, dont think it will be fluid.
